We are getting closer to the trek to Northern Tier. We are adding a night for paddle making. Paddles will be Tuesday at 7 pm for two weeks. Please make sure that you get your payments in and let me know if you have any questions.
Camp Cards - It is time to start wrapping up the Camp Card Sales. All money and unsold cards must be turned in to Cindy Camp by May 2th. In addition, for scouts that are selling Camp Cards, in order to get the full commissions ($2.50 per card) the scout (and parent) need to do a shift at the Scout Show on April 27th. I will be offering 2 CPR and AED training session on May 4. Please see link below to sign up for a session. This is a requirement in order to complete First Aid merit badge.
The cost of this training is $25.00, I am working at lowering this for our Scouts, however I do not have a concrete answer yet. This training is the American Heart Association Heartsaver Adult CPR and AED. Upon completion a 2 year certification card will be issued.
Jessica Kurtz has worked to create the attached checklist to assist families with providing complete and accurate medical forms for all of our 2019 adventures.
Please print a copy of the attached check list and make sure all required spaces are complete, all "i's" are dotted and "t's" crossed to ensure the health and well being of all outing participants. Regarding the Annual Health and Medical Record form ("med form") any person - Scout, parent, sibling - attending an outing which lasts less than 72 hours must complete parts A & B of the med form, in addition to other required documents (see checklist). Anyone participating in an outing which exceeds 72 hours must also complete part C of the med form. Please note that a physician's signature is now required on part B (NEW) in addition to part C (as previously required).

2 Copies of these documents must be turned in directly at a Troop meeting, or can be mailed. Please DO NOT email your medical forms as this violates the BSA's recommendations regarding information privacy.

The Memorial Day Camp Out is coming up. This camping trip is a great opportunity to hang out with the other families from the troop and get to know each other, as well as venture into some fabulous places that represent the best of America. This year we will be heading South to New Mexico and visiting Santa Fe, the Los Alamos area, Bandelier National Monument, and Jemez Falls Campground.
